A Reflection on Community Access

Dianne Mandeville reflects on the concept of “community access” which is the term used to describe the current practice of taking people with a disability into the community.  She uses the analogy of being a tourist in a foreign place to point out that just “being” in the community is not enough to build relationships and to foster connections with people.
