David Isitt is responsible for the management of Pave the Way and has worked extensively in the area of disability for the past 27 years, both here in Australia and New Zealand.
Helen Baird is a development worker with Pave the Way. Helen has worked in the social justice field for about 20 years, as a counsellor, community worker and executive officer, working with marginalised groups of people. Before joining Pave the Way in 2012, Helen was facilitating opportunities for individuals through grants and advocating for better outcomes for them and their families. She has also worked in a community mental health recovery programme and as a skills educator and advocate for individuals and families with disabilities, mental health issues, homelessness, family breakdowns, addictions and isolation in the community.
Peter Vacca is a full time development worker with Pave the Way and has worked in the area of family support for over 15 years. He has worked as a Coordinator, Keyworker and Team Leader and is particularly interested in supporting families to clarify their vision for their sons and daughters with disability
Sarah works four days a week as Resource Officer with Pave the Way and is involved in the participant readiness project for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Sarah has many years experience working with peoples with disabilities as a Support Worker, House Coordinator, Disability Employment Consultant and Program Planner.
Katharine Vacca works part time for Pave the Way and Mamre in Communications and Marketing. Prior to joining the Pave the Way team, Katharine worked as a support worker with Mamre Association and has recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR and Event Management.
